WCG 2008 Registration

To be selected for the UK Team to the World Cyber Games 2008 you must emerge victorious from the UK National Final in your chosen game. Qualifications for the UK Nationals will be being held online, and there will also be a last chance LAN qualifier at the UK Nationals at M Festival in August.

Registrations and scheduling is handled by our ClanForge system. Once registrations have closed you will be able to see your scheduled matches from within this system also.

i34 Attendance

To sign up for the Last Chance competitions you must have paid up for i34, either as a Spectator (For Xbox 360 games and Need for Speed / FIFA 08) or as a BYOC Participant (For any game.) If you have not yet paid for i34 you can do so by clicking here.

Nationality

The UK Team represents the United Kingdom at the World Cyber Games and, as such, you must be a UK Passport holder in order to become a member of the team. Should you qualify, please bring proof of this to the National Finals.

Age Restrictions

The Grand Final of the WCG this year is to be held in Cologne, Germany. German law is very strict when it comes to classification of games and enforces age restrictions on who can buy, and also play, each game released there. Whilst the UK does not have such laws we deem it unfair to let people enter the UK Nationals who have no chance of being able to compete in the Grand Finals. Please see this news post for full information on the age restrictions imposed by the German USK rating system.

Availability

When entering the WCG you should be aware that should you do well and be selected following the UK Nationals you will be required to attend the Grand Final in Cologne, Germany over the 5th - 9th November, 2008.

If you’re happy with all of that…

Then, great! Go on and register!
