Regional and online qualifiers announced

That dates for the UK WCG 2007 regional and online qualifiers have been announced.

Online Qualifiers 

Online qualifiers will take place from Tuesday 17th July - but all players must register for the qualifiers by 10pm BST on Monday 16th July. Games available to  qualify online for include:

• PC games
  • Half-Life: Counter-strike 1.6
  • Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
  • FIFA 07
  • Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne
  • Starcraft: Brood War
• XBOX games
  • there are no online qualifiers for XBOX games  

Two qualification places were available for each game from each online qualifier. Winners of a online qualifier gained free entry to i31 (including free camping) to attend the National Final and be given food and drink vouchers for use whilst in attendance.

Regional Qualifiers 

Regional qualifiers will be taking place at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent and the Trafford Centre in Manchester over the 14th-15th and 21st-22nd July respectively.

Games available to qualify at the regional qualifiers include:

• PC games
  • Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
  • FIFA 07
  • Need for Speed: Carbon
• XBOX games
  • Dead or Alive 4
  • Project Gotham Racing 3
  • Tony Hawks Project 8

Two qualification places were available for each game from each regional qualifier. Winners of a regional qualifier gained free entry to i31 (including free camping) to attend the National Final and be given food and drink vouchers for use whilst in attendance.
