EA Announce Support for World Cyber Games in the UK

Games giant Electronic Arts have thrown their weight behind WCG in the UK with sponsorship to for their titles which are being used in the global tournament; Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath, FIFA 08 and Need for Speed: ProStreet.

EA are delighted to continue their longstanding involvement with the Games in the UK, which continues to build a healthy cyber culture and bring the best gamers from around the UK together.

Registration for the Online Qualifiers for EA, and all the other titles, are still open and if you haven’t registered already you can do so right now through the WCG UK website. But be quick, signups close at 6:00pm on Monday 16th June!

    Define sponsorship?? does this mean the qualifiers will have a prize pool now? or does it mean they are helping with contributions to the travel for WCG finals etc?

    Contributions to assist the team in general, such as travel, etc.

    wait…I thought there was a prize (aside from winning place on team to Germany)? I swear Apollo told me that he got like 1.5k/xbox 360 or something for winning last years cnc3 uk wcg.
